Nandini Gupta

President 2020-21

The Health and Mind Club played a crucial role in my personal growth, wherein I was able to help spread awareness about mental health, by taking part in many events such as street plays, assembly talks, as well as conducting numerous competitions during the Mental Health Awareness Week. This club has played an impactful role in my life, as I was able to grow as a person by contributing to it and I
Being the President for the academic year 2020-21 helped enhance my leadership skills. The knowledge I was imparted as a part of this club is something that I will cherish in the future as well.

Aryan Sinha

President 2020-21

I  have always dreamt of being part of something that can change the world and in turn inspire me to do the same. It would come to me by total surprise that I would have an opportunity to lead this change one day. Being in the Health and Mind Club was the best experience of my life. Having a supportive team we took to brave the challenges and "Stop the Stigma of Mental Health".

It had a profound impact on my personal life. I had become a better team player and was more sensitive to the needs of others. However, it had a far greater impact in shaping my views of the world and understand problems with maturity and intellect. It helped me win over my own evils too!

We embarked on a journey that would bring in a wind of change towards mental health in our society and we would make ends meet to do so and when I was announced as the Club President, I felt over the top!

I feel inspired as I reflect back on my journey and I have faith that our ideas will reach all across the globe one-day, uniting it with our "Green Ribbon"!

Being a part of this club for 2 years was really a ride. It only helped me but in the process as a club we were able to reach out to numerous people and reach our goals. The club grew and along with that it Helped us grow academically as well as emotionally!

H&M  to me was forever more than just a club. We had a definite mission, a strong passion, and wonderful cooperation. As an extrovert, interacting with people is something I have always been extremely fond of. Be it the Classroom/Assembly talks that I had with students or the Plays/Concerts/Movies planned and designed as part of a team, there is a lot I learned out of, here. The sheer amount of flexibility and open-mindedness in our team was always a catalyst in pushing forth for things that seemed beyond the horizon. Several challenges came across but were conquered upon together. The feeling of working for a cause and simultaneously exploring my own personality development throughout this process constantly gave that feeling of a perfect balance between being a student and a changemaker. It is rather easy to not do anything but for the ones willing, opportunities like these are worth a lot. Even as I depart for university to prepare for the rest of my life, H&M will be one of those happenings that helped strengthen the base of whatever I am to build upon from here, leaving me with overwhelming positive memories, learnings, and insights. I hope our club continues to persist for time to come giving students like me similar exposure and thoughtfulness, thus creating much better human beings!

Having good mental health is key to the healthy development and well-being of every child. Children need good mental health - not only to be able to deal with challenges and adapt to change, but so they can feel good about themselves, build healthy relationships with others and enjoy life.

It is said that you must treat your body like a temple and the greatest of pillars have the strongest of bases. If your body is that pillar then your mind is that base. The discourse around mental health in school has exponentially increased and the Health and Mind Club has played a massive role in making that happen. It gives me immense pleasure to be leading the club and encouraging our members to use the club as a catalyst for the mental well being of the school. We strive to stamp out the stigma and provide an all inviting, all accepting platform.

Ask us anything :)

Thanks! We will get back to you very shortly

Mental health is not a destination, but a process. It's about how you drive, not where you're going."
Mental health is equally important as physical health. It includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being, which affects our day to day life.
The aim of the Health & Mind Club is to  ensure that we students have a healthy and positive mindset.
