The Fear Fall

Health & Mind Club

Every opportunity grasped presents a new challenge to conquer...

Life is full of wild dreams and promising ventures, but very often, it is found that the motivation and perseverance with which we initiated our goal tends to leave us high and dry. At first, we do not realize this loss. But after a period of time, it starts to hit us.

We feel unwilling to continue or take up new challenges, often questioning the very purpose of our goal. These are the effects of demotivation and fear which frequently find a way to disrupt our lives.

Goals are the driving force for any living being as they always provide an intriguing purpose to one’s life. Take the example of animal. The ulterior goal of an animal is to search for food and fight for their life.

For us, humans, having secured food and shelter, our goals are based on achievements that require honing of our skills. These achievements provide us with self-satisfaction and happiness. These goals can be long-term or short-term. Being a pilot, doctor, musician etc. are long-term goals which provide us with a future to envision while good grades, assignments, extra-curricular activities are short-term goals which help discover and nurture are capabilities and personalities.

We often find these goals to be clouded when we stop considering them. We start to doubt whether we can accomplish what we want and if we can’t, we start to wonder what the purpose of thinking about our aspirations is in the first place. Well, it is completely normal to feel demotivated. After all, nothing is permanent in life, let alone encouragement!

The most important thing during such a situation is to snap out of it. A negative attitude has never gotten anyone anywhere. Life is full of uncertainties, especially when it comes to matters of the future. These doubts and fears only undermine our capabilities. Letting these doubts take over us does nothing else but increase our uncertainty.

What certainly helps us is the belief that one can achieve anything they wish when they put their mind into it. This belief has to be accompanied by hard work.

Hard work is a value which has been emphasized so much by our teachers since we were kids. Without hard work, nothing can be accomplished. Hard work, thus, makes us proud of our self and improves our self-esteem.

Short-term and long-term goals continuously strike us and start giving us a purpose in life. For those who still haven’t figured out their mission in life, don’t worry. It’s never to late to find what you love. I have found mine. I hope you’ve found the right one too!

Always remember that you have the opportunity and the choice to pave your own path.

Having good mental health is key to the healthy development and well-being of every child. Children need good mental health - not only to be able to deal with challenges and adapt to change, but so they can feel good about themselves, build healthy relationships with others and enjoy life.

It is said that you must treat your body like a temple and the greatest of pillars have the strongest of bases. If your body is that pillar then your mind is that base. The discourse around mental health in school has exponentially increased and the Health and Mind Club has played a massive role in making that happen. It gives me immense pleasure to be leading the club and encouraging our members to use the club as a catalyst for the mental well being of the school. We strive to stamp out the stigma and provide an all inviting, all accepting platform.

Ask us anything :)

Thanks! We will get back to you very shortly

Mental health is not a destination, but a process. It's about how you drive, not where you're going."
Mental health is equally important as physical health. It includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being, which affects our day to day life.
The aim of the Health & Mind Club is to  ensure that we students have a healthy and positive mindset.
