Positive Attitude!

Health & Mind Club

Imagine your mind is a garden and your thoughts are the seeds. Will you choose to

grow flowers or choose to grow weeds?

The way you go through life is completely determined by one thing.... your attitude. In life bad things will happen and good things will happen. They happen to everyone, it is the way life is. Some people have to battle far bigger problems than others but the difference between the people who let it break them down and the people who learn from it is their attitude.

Your attitude is the first thing people notice about you after your physical appearance. It takes just one tenth of a second for someone to form their first impression of you. To put that into perspective, it takes someone one third of a second to blink. That's how little time you have to make your first impression on someone less than a blink of an eye!

You have little control over how someone mentally pre-judges you in that short amount of time but what you do have a lot of control over is how they judge you in the time after that first blink.

So your attitude defines the way you hold yourself, the way you listen to someone when they are speaking, the way you speak about others, the respect you show to others, your manner, your disposition, your feelings and the way you want people to react to you.

What is Positive Attitude and how does it help?

Most of us think that positive attitude is just showing positive appearance to everyone. But it is something that goes deeper and has an effect beyond surface cheer.

A positive attitude doesn't mean ignoring lifes' troubles. It means being an optimist and looking for the good in things, rather than being a pessimist and concentrating on the bad in things.

In very simple words a Positive Attitude is a mindset that helps you see and recognize opportunities. Positive Attitude means positive thinking. It is optimism and maintaining a positive mindset. It is a mindset that uses the words, “I can”, and “it is possible”.

A positive attitude helps you cope up more easily with the daily affairs of life. It brings optimism in your life and makes it easier to avoid worries and negative thinking. If you adopt it as a way of life, it would bring constructive changes into your life, and makes them happier, brighter and more successful.

How to build Positive Attitude:

By adopting a positive attitude and training yourself to see the positive in as many situations as possible you become a much happier person overall and someone that others enjoy being around. No one wants to be around a negative person and you certainly don't want to be that person.

Your attitude is not something you can change within a few minutes but by practicing a few steps every day you will begin to see things in a more positive manner and I guarantee you that others will notice the difference in you too. Change is a good thing!

Having good mental health is key to the healthy development and well-being of every child. Children need good mental health - not only to be able to deal with challenges and adapt to change, but so they can feel good about themselves, build healthy relationships with others and enjoy life.

It is said that you must treat your body like a temple and the greatest of pillars have the strongest of bases. If your body is that pillar then your mind is that base. The discourse around mental health in school has exponentially increased and the Health and Mind Club has played a massive role in making that happen. It gives me immense pleasure to be leading the club and encouraging our members to use the club as a catalyst for the mental well being of the school. We strive to stamp out the stigma and provide an all inviting, all accepting platform.

Ask us anything :)

Thanks! We will get back to you very shortly

Mental health is not a destination, but a process. It's about how you drive, not where you're going."
Mental health is equally important as physical health. It includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being, which affects our day to day life.
The aim of the Health & Mind Club is to  ensure that we students have a healthy and positive mindset.
